What makes Uluru the perfect event destination?

Everybody wants to visit Uluru/Ayers Rock, international visitors and Australians alike. Its awe-inspiring natural beauty and deep spiritual significance have made it an icon of Australia.

As a destination for your business event, Uluru carries a special promise. And its central location makes it perfect for bringing together delegates dispersed around the country.

World importance

Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park is a World Heritage Area, one of only a few worldwide listed by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for outstanding natural as well as cultural value. Its listing may be relatively recent but the park is managed in ways that date back tens of thousands of years.

Uluru and its surrounds show rich evidence of the interaction between humankind and the natural world over many thousands of years. It’s a place of powerful spiritual, artistic and cultural associations, and a treasure trove of geological and biological evolution.

Unique expertise

The region boasts specialist knowledge in rural and remote health, arid zones and desert landscapes, indigenous matters, biosphere protection and management, indigenous arts, and community and government services.

If your organisation has any connection with these sectors, holding your event at Uluru is an obvious choice. But for any business event, the region’s specialist expertise can be a source of inspiration and fascination.

Exceptional facilities

A key reason why Uluru/Ayers Rock makes such a great choice for business events is Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. It has a wide range of accommodation to suit differing needs and budgets. And its modern conference facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunications, audio-visual and lighting technology.

Ayers Rock Resort is currenlty undergoing an extensive capital works project, to upgrade Sails in the Desert Hotel, and to expand the Ayers Rock Resort Conference Centre. The upgraded state-of-the-art conference centre, available for events from 1 August 2012, will have double the capacity, in addition to a new ballroom for 420 guests, three breakout rooms, a small function area, a new secretariat room, a covered pre-function area and all new AV equipment. The completed facitlities will be able to cater for mid-size conferences and exhibitions, with the new ballroom taking up to thirty 3m x 2m booths, as well as capacity to showcase cars indoors.

Ayers Rock Resort is offering incentives for new business booked between now and 31 July 2012. For details, terms and conditions, follow this link to the Uluru Meeting Place.
