Tiwi people are known for their beautiful and distinctive art and craft. A trip to the Tiwi Islands is a chance to share their culture, cool off in a waterhole or go walking to hear the stories of their ancestors. The islands lie 80 kms north of Darwin, just 20 minutes’ flight by light aircraft or around two hours by ferry across the Timor Sea.
