Supply Chain Management
Voyages recognises that suppliers play an important role in how they manage their environmental, social and ethical impacts and so works closely with them to minimise and manage any impacts across the supply chain.
Mutitjulu Foundation
Conference delegates are encouraged to contribute towards local community support programs such as the Mutitjulu Foundation which aims to improve health, advance education and relieve poverty for all members of the Mutitjulu Community which is located next to Uluru in Central Australia.
Contributions to the Foundation are encouraged through in-room collateral at Voyages’ Ayers Rock Resort and an introduction of the Foundation by resort staff at check-in. Collection tins for loose change are also provided throughout the resort. Upon check-out, guests are asked to approve a voluntary $2 donation which is added to their account. Voyages matches voluntary guest donations to the Mutitjulu Foundation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $200,000 each year. To date, the Foundation has raised $900,000.
Artists in Residence Program
Ayers Rock Resort has been responsible for the management and coordination of a hugely successful 'Artist in Residence' program in Mulgara Gallery at Sails in the Desert Hotel, as well as the sale of authentic Aboriginal artwork through Mulgara Gallery and Craftworks retail outlets throughout Ayers Rock Resort.
Carbon Neutral Conferences
Voyages will refer clients to various carbon neutral providers to ensure a rigorous and transparent approach to providing carbon neutral conferences.
